To the Zoo!
So what have we done this semester. Looking back on a few events that are the cause of serious fatigue after 22 weeks of on going labor!
Top left is the best Co-teacher in the whole wide world. Debbie is preparing the girls for an extensive day out in the sun. We are going to Taipei ZOO!
Julia got her class ready and notice the excitement before the heat struck.
All the students had a great time and at first I thought we just might make it through the day.
We spotted a lot of animals behind bars and some teachers in disguise. AND THEN! My worst fears came true! 26 little ones started complaining about how being tired, feeling hot and wanting to go home!
So heading to airconditioned buildings we saw the oldest and biggest elephant that ever lived in Taiwan. Ever seen a stuffed elephant on scale?
At the end the slides and other playing areas had much more appeal than any of the animals.

Huis Soek in Fulong
Sonya decided to stay put at her favorite place in the house. Fulong has a great beach and lots of possibilities for sundowners.
Finding a permanent weekend getaway spot turned out to be more difficult than we thought, Audrey tried to hitch a ride from the neighboring town as we continued our search. The weekend was still fun as we cheersed to sunsets and the sound of the ocean.

Strong under currents make it undesirable for swimming and unless you are going in much deeper into the ocean, most coral reefs are are getting less colorful or just non-existant for snorkeling.
Nevertheless the people goes to bed at 9pm, drive scooters with colorful doilies on their seats and it looked like wearing a helmet was banned, as I haven't seen any, not even for sale.
